INTRODUCTION
Established in 2008 the Friends of the Lincoln Parks Foundation is an annual membership program designed to accommodate all those who wish to provide general support for the ongoing activities of the Foundation and to the legacy of the Parks system. Our donors are diverse in background and philosophy and gifts span from $1.00 to $1 million dollars in this category.
Membership in our Friends group entitles you to receive special recognition on our website and in other publications, our monthly E-Newsletter Pathways, our bi annual newsletter sent to your home, invitations to special events like park dedications, limited edition lapel pins, and other benefits. CHARTER MEMBERS
Charter members of the Friends group include all those who have participated in our recent Union Plaza campaign, our Board, our Trustees, local leaders, members of various parks related advisory boards, long time park volunteers, and other groups and individuals who want to help preserve the legacy of our excellent parks system for future generations.
Donation Categories
$50.00 = Two rose bushes for the gardens or new equipment at a recreation center
$100.00 = Public garden seminars or swimming lesson scholarships for two Lincoln kids
$250.00 = Educational signage for the gardens or computer lab printers at a recreation center
$500.00 = Ornamental trees and exotic plants in the gardens or bus rental for a camp trip
$1,000.00 = Holiday lighting for the gardens or new basketball hoops at neighborhood parks
$1200.00 = Schrekinger/Campbell Garden & Seating Area
Many Friends also offer General Support for where it is most needed.
