Designation Information & Charitable Status
The following information is provided for your convenience and should be shared with your attorney and or your estate planning professional.
The proper name to use for a beneficiary designation in a will, trust, life insurance or annuity contract, retirement plan, investment, or bank account is the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation, a tax-exempt organization (Tax ID 36-3853746). The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation is a recognized 501(c) 3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

Sample Language for Wills & Trusts
To direct a gift to the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation, you may consider utilizing the following language:
"I hereby give and bequeath to the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation of Lincoln, Nebraska a specific gift of $0.0 (insert specific dollar amount) or 0.0% (insert specific percentage or direct entirety of residuary estate by inserting 100%) of my estate (or residuary estate) to support the mission of the organization or for the following specific purpose (insert specific purpose such as support for a specific garden, park, or human service program)."
