INTRODUCTION...
Our extensive collection of green spaces, unique and inviting public gardens, swimming pools, and playing fields are truly Lincoln's back yard. Thousands of Lincoln families visit Lincoln Parks and Recreation facilities and enjoy their programming every year. In fact, as Lincoln enjoys positive growth across our community demands on our excellent Parks and Recreation system are growing too and it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain our current level of excellence while trying to build and preserve the system for future generations.
In an era of difficult budget decisions being made at every level of government those directly responsible for ensuring that the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is made a priority need to hear directly from you.
HOW YOU CAN HELP...
Your voice needs to be heard and your communications are valuable to our City leaders because you are their constituents and the taxpayers that support our system.
The next time you enjoy a stroll through your favorite park, or after your child completes a summer program at one of our many Rec Centers, or that you have a fun day riding bikes on our extensive trail system, or any other positive experience in our parks and recreation system, please take a moment to let our City leaders know how important these facilities and programs are to you and your family.
Every phone call, letter, or email you send will make a positive and significant difference. A sample message only needs to relate the positive experience you enjoyed and a brief statement telling City leaders to make sure the Parks and Recreaction Department remain a budget priority.
CONTACT INFORMATION...
We are fortunate to have city leaders who share our values and who believe in our mission. However, it helps them to do their job when they hear from you directly.

SEE YOU IN THE PARKS!
