INTRODUCTION...
Established in 2008 the Friends of the Lincoln Parks Foundation is an annual membership program designed to accommodate all those who wish to provide general support for the ongoing activities of the Foundation and to the legacy of the Parks system. Our donors are diverse in background and philosophy and gifts span from $1.00 to $1 million dollars in this category.
Membership in our Friends group entitles you to receive special recognition on our website and in other publications, our monthly E-Newsletter Pathways, our bi annual newsletter sent to your home, invitations to special events like park dedications, limited edition lapel pins, and other benefits.

CHARTER MEMBERS...
Charter members of the Friends group include all those who have participated in our recent Union Plaza campaign, our Board, our Trustees, local leaders, members of various parks related advisory boards, long time park volunteers, and other groups and individuals who want to help preserve the legacy of our excellent parks system for future generations.

DONATION DESCRIPTION...
Many of our Friends are eager to learn about how their membership impacts specific programs or facilities within the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department's system.
Here are just a few examples of existing needs that your annual donations help fulfill:
$25 = 15 Flowering Annuals or New Ping Pong Paddles at a Rec Center
$50 = 2 Rose Bushes or New Basketballs & Soccer balls at a Rec Center
$100 = Public Garden Seminar or Swimming Lesson Scholarship for 2 Lincoln Kids
$250 = Educational Signage for the Gardens or Computer Lab Printers at a Rec Center
$500 = Ornamental Trees & Exotic Plants in the Garden or Bus Rental for a Camp Trip
$1000 = Holiday Lighting for the Gardens or New Basketball Hoops at Neighborhood Parks
$1500 = Bed of Roses in Rose Garden or Replace Floatables at Neighborhood Pools or Park Bench at a Municipal Golf Course
