Supporting Parks.
Growing Community.
What We Do
We’re a non-profit that partners with Lincoln Parks and Recreation. Our role is to raise funds to improve local parks and create new outdoor spaces.
Outdoor Spaces
for Everyone
No matter where you live, you should have a great park nearby.
Our parks are where our children play, lifelong memories are made, and neighborhoods are strengthened.
When we invest in our public spaces, we’re not just planting trees or building playgrounds — we’re creating a legacy of well-being for generations to come.
Lincoln has a vibrant network of parks & trails.
89% percent of our residents are within a 10-minute walk of a local park, compared to the national average of 39%.
But there’s more
work to do.
Our park system is strong, but we’re not stopping here. One in ten Lincoln residents still lacks access to a nearby park.
And while we’ve built many beautiful outdoor spaces, they need ongoing care. Many of our park facilities are 20-30 years old and ready for updates.
At the same time, Lincoln is growing. New neighborhoods are springing up, and they need green spaces too.
Together, we can keep our parks vibrant for generations to come.
Many of our parks and trails exist because of generous donations from neighbors, local businesses, and friends. Join us in giving the gift of outdoor spaces to our community.
Our Mission
Improve the quality of life in Lincoln by cultivating and stewarding generosity — so parks and recreation opportunities are vibrant and accessible now and for future generations.
How We Work
We partner closely with Lincoln Parks and Recreation. The city handles all policies and decisions, and we help by raising funds. We are the official 501(c)3 for the Lincoln Parks and Recreation department.
Our Commitment
Equitable Access
We’re working to make sure every Lincoln resident has a park within a half-mile walk — regardless of their neighborhood or income. Our shared goal is a city where parks and recreation opportunities are accessible to all.
Financial Stewardship
We take our responsibility to our community and donors seriously. Through careful management of project funds and endowments, we make sure your gifts fund both immediate needs and long-term park sustainability.
